Through Virginia’s Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits (EISTC) program, individuals and businesses can receive a 65% state tax credit for donations made to approved scholarship foundations—while directly supporting students from low-income families who seek a quality, faith-based education.
This program allows your gift to make double the impact: you help a child access a Blessed Sacrament Huguenot education and receive significant tax savings in return.
How It Works
Your donation goes to the McMahon Parater Scholarship Foundation (MPSF)—the Catholic Diocese of Richmond’s approved scholarship organization. When you designate Blessed Sacrament Huguenot as your school of choice, your gift will go directly toward scholarships for students at BSH.

- IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
How to Get Started
- Submit a Letter of Intent & Preauthorization Form. This reserves your tax credits before donating.
- Receive Approval. Within 48 hours, you'll receive an Approval Letter confirming your tax credits are reserved for 180 days.
- Make Your Donation. Send the signed Approval Letter along with your check or securities transfer instructions to: McMahon Parater Scholarship Foundation (Make checks payable to MPSF)
